ABOUT US
We are a group of professional people from different backgrounds based in Germany with medical, teaching or logistic back grounds.
We are all connected through a private supported event in 2012 where we assisted a baby from Kenya to get free heart surgery in Germany.
After this experience we founded the registered association"mamatoto (mother and child in Kiswahili) aid international" in 2013. While since we supported some small local NGO’s in Kenya, our professional experience has increased and now we are ready to implement our first project in Lesotho.
Why Lesotho?
One of our members has been working in Lesotho with an international humanitarian organization for nearly two years. She has not only been working to implement HIV/TB, sexual and reproductive health activities, she also has been working on national level with the ministry of health. Therefore we feel that the proposed projects are relevant and will reach the mothe and children most vulnerable and in need of urged care.
